WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS (HYPER-VICTORIOUS) THROUGH CHRIST!

I.  WE ARE “HYPER-CONQUERORS”

Rom 8:35-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors (HUPER-NIKAO) through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  hupernikao NT:5245, "to be more than conqueror" (huper, "over," and No. 1), "to gain a surpassing victory," is found in Rom 8:37, lit., "we are hyper-conquerors," i. e ., we are pre-eminently victorious.

HOW DID WE COME BY THIS HYPER-VICTORY?  JESUS GAVE IT TO US!!!

1 Cor 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

nikos (nee'-kos); from NT:3529; a conquest (concretely), i.e. (by implication) triumph:    KJV - victory.

II.  THE MEANS OF APPROPRIATING THIS VICTORY: OUR FAITH!

1 John 5:1-5
5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh (NIKAO) the world: and this is the victory (NIKE) that overcometh the world, even our faith .
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

nike (nee'-kay); apparently a primary word; conquest ( the means of success :)  KJV - victory.

III.  THE WEAPONS OF VICTORY OVER OUR ENEMY: (1)THE BLOOD OF JESUS, (2) THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONY, (3) OUR LIVING SACRIFICE.

Rev 12:10-11
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame (NIKAO) him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

IV.  TO THE VICTORS GO THE REWARDS!

1.           REV. 2:7  “EAT OF THE TREE OF LIFE IN THE MIDST OF THE PARADISE OF GOD”    shall never die!

2.           REV. 2:11 “SHALL NOT BE HURT BY THE SECOND DEATH” no fear of Hell or future Judgement

3.           REV. 2:17 “GIVE TO EAT OF THE HIDDEN MANNA” Jesus is the Manna which came down from Heaven   “WILL GIVE HIM A WHITE STONE”  full pardon   “IN THE STONE A NEW NAME WRITTEN” a new identity because we are new creatures

4.           REV. 2:26-28  “POWER OVER THE NATIONS” not to be overcome but to rule and reign with Christ  AND “I WILL GIVE HIM THE MORNING STAR”  Jesus is always our best reward!

5.           REV. 3:5 “SHALL BE CLOTHED IN WHITE RAIMENT” The righteousness of the Blood cleansed Saints of God   “I WILL NOT BLOT OUT HIS NAME”  Finally eternally secure! “I WILL CONFESS HIM BEFORE MY FATHER AND BEFORE HIS ANGELS” An introduction to God Almighty and to all of Heaven by Jesus Himself

REV. 3:12 “A PILLAR IN THE TEMPLE OF MY GOD” 

A pillar is a permanent fixture bearing responsibilities in the Temple of God

  7.  WRITE UPON HIM THE NAME OF MY GOD (branded) AND THE NAME OF THE CITY OF MY GOD, WHICH IS NEW JERUSALEM WHICH COMETH DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN FROM MY GOD (given citizenship in the New Jerusalem) ; AND I WILL WRITE UPON HIM MY NEW NAME” permanent identity with God!

WHEN GOD IS FINISHED WITH US, HEAVEN WILL BE A PERFECT MATCH FOR US….WE WILL BELONG THERE!!!

Rev 21:10-22:6

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. 18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.25

And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Revelation 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

V. WHY WILL WE BELONG THERE?

2 Cor 3:18 - But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

1 John 3:1-3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

   Our Mission is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.....
